The FireFrost 225R Fire Suppression System is FAA-Certified under STC SA04514AT for ALL Cirrus SR-Series piston aircraft. This means every SR20, SR22, SR22T, etc., from the early G1 to the beautiful new G7 is covered by this STC.

List Price on the FireFrost 225R system is $9,946 USD. You can order through our website, or through our growing dealer network. Stay tuned for more announcements as we grow our dealer network!

FireFrost is proud to offer the following rebates:

-$500 rebate for COPA membership with valid Member ID

-$500 rebate for NBAA membership (cannot be combined with COPA rebate)

-$250 Honoring our Heroes rebate is available to the following with proof of affiliation, and can be combined with either of the $500 rebates listed above:

Having FireFrost installed in your Cirrus will not automatically void your factory warranty. We are very confident that there is no risk to the existing electrical system, however if any electrical issues or other items are damaged as a result of this system, Cirrus would not cover it.

The FireFrost 225R uses FK 5-1-12, also known as 3M Novec1230, a standard fire suppression agent in professional racing. FK-5-1-12, a colorless liquid, is dispensed as a non-conductive vapor, ensuring clear visibility with no residue. Safe for occupied spaces, it absorbs heat without displacing oxygen. On discharge, it forms a gaseous mixture with higher heat capacity than air, cooling the combustion zone and extinguishing fires effectively without depleting oxygen. FK-5-1-12 (Novec1230) is non-corrosive, and will not damage your engine or any components it comes into contact with. The system has been tested with engines at full throttle with no adverse effect to performance.

We've got your back. If you use our system in an emergency, we will replace your entire system for free.

On preflight, verify the green button on the bottle is protruding. There is a visual check of the system at annual, and a 5-year bottle servicing, just like most fire extinguishers.

You can install our FireFrost 225R system in your experimental aircraft, but it's crucial to note that you wouldn't rely on our STC for certification in your plane. In other words, you can purchase and install the system however you choose in an experimental aircraft, though we suggest following the installation instructions for guidance.  We are actively working on ways to expand our audience, so check back with us as we build our product line to more airframes and more installation options.
